On June 27, the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship of the World Economic Forum brought together 29 industry leaders from nearly 20 countries and regions across the globe for a site visit to Deartree’s Shenzhen branch. This visit formed a core agenda of the official China Learning Journey, a supporting event for the 2026 Annual Meeting of the New Champions (Summer Davos) held in Dalian. Chinese and international guests held in-depth exchanges on global ESG advancement and on-the-ground circular economy practices, jointly exploring replicable green and low-carbon industrial solutions for cross-border deployment.

The delegation toured Deartree’s circular economy exhibition hall, standardized refurbishment workshops and intelligent warehousing facilities to experience the full industrial chain operation system firsthand. Wu Haika, Founder of Deartree, and Ruan Zheng, CEO of Deartree Hong Kong Branch, led the team to elaborate on the company’s complete closed-loop business model, digital assessment system and verified carbon reduction achievements. They fully demonstrated full-spectrum service capabilities covering office furniture collection, refurbishment & restoration, and secondary circulation via leasing. Through tangible, end-to-end industrial operations, Deartree presented a actionable Chinese circular economy model to global sustainable development pioneers.

· The self-developed Deartree COS furniture assessment system conducts standardized inspections and restoration based on hundreds of metrics, extending furniture service life by over 5 years;
· Deartree led the formulation of the national industry standard Technical Specifications for the Circulation of Used Office Furniture, standardizing the domestic secondary furniture circulation system;
· From January 2021 to May 2026, more than 1.57 million furniture pieces were reused, cutting carbon emissions by over 37.79 million kilograms in total, while slashing corporate procurement costs by 40% to 60%.

During panel discussions, global entrepreneurs and representatives of international institutions delved into four core topics: scaled operation of circular economy, carbon footprint accounting, green supportive policies, and cross-border sustainable collaboration. Wu Haika and Ruan Zheng shared Deartree’s experience in reconciling business growth with carbon neutrality goals. By maturing its industrial chain to continuously drive down costs for circular furniture, the company makes low-carbon green solutions accessible to enterprises of all sizes. Representatives from Africa, Europe, the Americas and Southeast Asia exchanged viable approaches to localize circular business models and build cross-border green industrial partnerships, tailored to regional industrial realities.

The visit established a long-term platform for international exchange and cooperation, enabling global partners to witness the robust strength and standardized implementation experience of China’s circular industry in person. Moving forward, Deartree will continue to collaborate with the World Economic Forum and global partners to pursue diverse cooperation avenues including cross-border expansion of circular furniture services, joint development of international green industries, and co-creation of global sustainability standards.
